Inzerra is coming out very soon with what most will call “a work of art”. His upcoming track entitled “Fashion of Love” speaks about a situation which most people can relate to which is love. According to him “It speaks about taking back the narrative when people in your life try to define you or drag you down”. We got a chance to ask him a few questions and here is what he had to say.
Q: Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?
My name is Jake Inzerra.
Q: Where are you from and Where were you based?
I am from Connecticut and am currently based in New York City.
Q: At What age did you start making music?
This will be my first professionally recorded song but I have been writing songs and singing since elementary school.
Q: What genre of music do you love? Or what genre would you consider yourself?
(e.g- Rock? Blues? Hip-Hop? RnB?)
My genre is pop. I am an artist who loves all genres of music. I grew up with a lot of rock playing in the house… Aerosmith, Phil Collins…and as a dancer I love pop and dance music…Britney, Michael, Madonna…
Q: Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)—-Please explain the concept or message behind it:
My newest track, also my debut, is called Fashion of Love. It speaks about taking back the narrative when people in your life try to define you or drag you down. We don’t choose to love, love chooses us. We can only choose to hate. In my song, I sing, “Love never goes outa style,” something I always remind myself, especially when so many people choose to hate on each other. It’s so much easier to lift others up.
Q: Who wrote it?
I wrote this song.
Q: What inspired you to write this new track
This is an uplifting, dance pop song, but it was written in a very depressing time in my life just a couple of months ago. This was a song that wrote itself, it was something I had to hear at the time. writing it got me through a lot of emotions.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration?
I grew up listening to everything, from rock and roll to pop to old school hip hop. A lot of my inspiration comes from Britney.
Q: If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
I would die if I got to perform on stage with her! I would want it to be a big production and we would just dance it out all the way! Others I would love to collaborate with are Troye Sivan and Hayley Kiyoko.
