Q: Can you tell the audience how old you are?

A: I’m at the ripe age of 23

Q: Please tell us where you were born and where you are currently based?

A: I was born in Finland, spending the majority of my life in this cartoonishly small town of Somero. As quite a contrast, I moved to London earlier this year which was easily the greatest choice I’ve made so far in my life.

Q: At What age did you start making music?

A: I started played piano when I was five and singing soon followed. I think I wrote my first song at the age of 14 or 15.

Q: What genre of music would you consider yourself?

A: I always wonder about the label because most of my solo music ends up being warped somewhere between hip hop and alt rock, yet I have a wide-ranging palette of influences to draw from. I find thinking in genres sort of creatively limiting, as the most exciting things happen once the established lines are blurred.

Q: Who is your favorite artist and why?

A: Robin Thicke, clearly. On a more serious note, Chris Cornell remains the #1.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I love politics and psychopathology (the two go niftily hand in hand), plus weightlifting. One of my peculiar passions is documenting my friends – especially in parties – with my iPhone, getting the greatest shots possible. I never cared for the technicalities of photography but I have a good eye for framing so phone camera photography feels like so much fun.

Q: Do you play any musical instrument?

A: Along with singing, I play guitar, piano and bass, plus do production. Anything but drums, drums are hard.

Q: Where do you get your musical inspiration?

A: I never really run out of inspiration, it’s more about finding the right energy that’ll work as a conduit. I gain loads of artistic energy from hearing exciting songs and watching interesting people talk or perform.

Q: Who is your hero?

A: Right now it would be Eric Andre for being so legendarily audacious and mad.

Q: If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?

A: Live, probably Travis Scott because of his intense live energy. Studio? That’s tricky. Probably Kanye.

Q: Finally tell our audience where they can find you on social media and also mention wherever you will be performing live.

A: You can search for ’Timi Alexander’ on Facebook, my page should be the first one to pop up. I can also be found on Soundcloud, Instagram, Bandcamp, Youtube and Spotify, all under the same moniker.

I’ll be doing occasional live spots here and there but the dates are still a bit unclear. However, I will keep my listeners updated via my social media (especially Facebook)!
