Some may call them the Ebony and Ivory of the rap industry but the group “Chain Bridge” mean business and are no strangers to the music industry. The group recently released a video entitled “DC Pop Up” featuring Bud T for their die hard fans and we got a chance to do an exclusive one on one interview. First watch the video below, then read the interview below it.

Q: Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?

A: Blaine Kaltman, but onstage I am known as BK Blaine. Because I’m the guitar player for the band Stone Mob, in rock ‘n’ roll circles (like guitar world magazine) I am also known as The Shred Master General. My partner in rhyme- the other half of Chain Bridge- is Mr. Wil- real name Wil David.

Q:Where are you from and Where were you based?
A: Chain Bridge is an American hip-hop band. We are based out of the DMV – Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The band is named after the street me and Mr. Wil went to high school on in Virginia.

Q: At What age did you start making music?
A: I’ve been making music all my life, playing guitar since 14.In high school Mr. Wil used to do beatbox and I would rap over it. Now we are playing on FM radio. Life is funny like that. Actually Mr. Wil is a talented beat boxer- something Chain Bridge fans can expect to hear on upcoming tracks..

Q: Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)
—Please explain the concept or message behind it:
A: DC Pop Up pays tribute to the parties occurring around our hometown since marijuana was legalized and The features our friend and fellow local rapper Bud T who is a monster talent. In fact, our fans can look forward to an upcoming Chain Bridge track called FML that will feature both Bud T and Josh- another great rapper- as the group 6304. So definitely watch for that! Anyway for DC Pop Up we set out to make a fun, heavy, crazy party track and I think the nearly 1000 likes on our YouTube video show we achieved our goal.

Q: Who wrote it?
A:. I came up with the concept, but me and Mr. Wil together hammered out the details and Bud T wrote his own verses. Our engineer Sean Russell, bassist Eric Scott and drummer Andy Hamburger also made their contributions. I’m blessed to be working with such a talented team.

Q: Where do you get your musical inspiration?
A: Life. Everything. Inspiration is everywhere. Like music, all you have to do is listen.

Q: If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
A: My brother Mylan Kaltman- an incredible piano player who I’ve wanted to jam with for years. Bro if you’re reading this, let’s fucking do it! Name the date, I’ll book the studio.

Q: Where can fans find you?
