Our new Album "Electro Pachamámico" is a tribute to the diversity and wealth of Latin America and its people
As I listen to track number 1 from “Calle Mambo’s” new album entitled “El desiertor”, I cant help but to think of scenes from the “Scarface” movie. The sound takes me to the Miami atmosphere where you have alot of Latin sounds. Due to the fact that Tony Montana was Cuban, you hear alot of Latin music in the film and I could have sworn that I heard “El desierto” in one of the scenes. Anyways, thats the power of Calle Mambo’s music. They recently released a new album called “Electro Pachamámico” and its packed with alot of great Latin sounds. I, Ricky Ross, will be interviewing them on Saturday, October 26th on TopafricMusicVideo.com Platform and asking them a few questions about their music and style. The interview will be live on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/topafricmusicvideo/
Meanwhile, here is a short exclusive interview below
Q: Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?
Calle Mambo is the name of the band.
Our new Album “Electro Pachamámico” is a tribute to the diversity and wealth of Latin America and its people, celebrating the continent’s legacy: it is based on indigenous and creole rhythms from the Andes and the Caribbean, featuring the Charango, Quena, ( original instruments from los Andes ) Timbales, Guitar, Moog synthesizer, Güira, the Gaita (indigenous flute from the Colombian Andes) the Tambor Alegre (Afro-Colombian percussion) and more. The result is folklore with driving beats, a modern fusion we named „Música Electropachamámica”.
Currently we are based in Berlin.
