Chanteuse Crissi Cochrane combines the heart of an East Coast songwriter with the soul of Windsor/Detroit, living and writing just a stone’s throw from the birthplace of Motown since 2010. Silky vocals glow atop the purr of her Fender Jaguar electric guitar, fashioning a sultry, soulful brand of popular music.
Crissi also is a co-host of the “Get Collected” podcast with her husband Michael Paul (also known as Soul Brother Mike), where they discuss music, poetry, and politics.

On our previous article about this Canadian Pop/Soul artist and one of her recent works titled ” Sleep in the wild”, a song that represented Crissi in a fun, playful romp, preparing for a date night with glamour and style.
She has been putting a lot together, including on of her latest release of her performing one of her favorite Billie Holiday songs, “Billie’s Blues” to celebrate her 102nd birthday earlier this month.

And to double her activities, Crissi speaks of request from her fans demanding she puts a love song together. Although seeming like challenge, she sees it exciting to try out something that would widen her reach and bring out more exposure from her imaginations.
Crissi’s inspirations are coming from people who have told her about someone they love which makes it a really more personalized composition and not a figment of her imaginations.
