“Whole World”, a song by Andre Rose and featuring Kris, tells the story of law abiding people who are profiled illegally by virtue of their color and are sometimes attacked by the police who’s primary responsibility is to protect them without recourse to the rule of law and due process. It is a call for all black people to stop the gun-violence against each other and unite to demand police accountability and stop inequality against black people. This is a redemption song, in retrospect.

This joint is dope, raw and straight from the street. There are a lot of amazing things and “wow” moments emanating from this joint. Top among the lot is the ease at which hip-hop rap is fused with dancehall “ragga”. This is champagne class and magisterial. The energy is real and stupendous, the transition from the rap verses to the dancehall chorus and from the chorus to the hook is smooth and suave. The passion and the attitude is tremendous and can be felt from the opening lines as it brings to mind, the imaginations of the subject or the theme of the song.

Andre can only continue to dominate as he brings about a lot of technical dexterity. He has shown his ability to adapt to and handle complex situation associated with singing sensitive song and subject like this while executing them with simplicity that resonates in every mind and comparable to the delivery any “A” list rap artist would bring to the table.

The synth grooves as the powerful drum beats blare. The buzzy keyboards, the reverberating guitar sounds and a persistently funky bounce gives it a flexible or fluid flow while being laced with occasional blaring horns. The blend of vocals and range of vocals used in the song are perfect.
