About Debbie Kauble

Debbie Kauble

Growing up in a very musical family has a lot of advantages. A life filled with music of almost every genre and era helped to train my ear long before I was studying piano. Being trained classically gave a solid foundation for all music styles and taught me to appreciate every piece of music from Rock and Roll, country, Christian, liturgical, easy listening, folk, pop, R &B, ballads and country rock and much more.

I was blessed to be using my gift of piano playing from the time I was 11 years old, playing for church services, accompanying soloists, choirs, groups and bands. I was the school accompanist from Grade 6 to 12 and accompanied many instrumentalists for competitions. Mainly playing what was written in the musical score yet always yearning to break out with my own style. The discipline to play what was written was so ingrained in my thinking that rarely did I improvise ……and that to a fault, as I could never imagine writing a song of my own…….until I stepped out into the unknown and wrote my first few songs at age 33. It was exhilarating….and haven’t stopped since. Many of them have an epic melody that some have likened to movie and film soundtrack themes. I have only been producing my music on my own for about 10 months now and have lots to learn about studio gear, but feel I have adequate equipment and a decent ear for detail and hope to continue to improve as I continue to write, compose, record and produce.

I am married for 35 years to the man of my dreams and enjoying my life experiences as a wife, mother, mother in law, grandparent – great inspiration for being a Songwriter/composer. How the depths of emotions can be channelled for empathetic moving pieces.
